Is it "non-christian" for me to be interested in Hell?

Hey. Im not extremely religious...like you wouldn't find a crucifix in every room, but I go to church every Sunday. (Im christian-catholic) Lately Ive taken a huge interest in Satan, demons and hell. I want to know about them and what kind of things they are. Im always on sites about hell and googleing demons and satan. My parents yell at me and tell me its not right to take an interest. Is it wrong?
