Is this a contradiction on my belief?

Ok...so for many years I went to private schools and had religion shoved down my throat with a holy shovel of faith...in high school I went to a public school, and rejected religion completely and currently consider myself an atheist... But in November my dad passed away who is catholic...at his funeral he had the "holy crucifix" in his casket, and me being his only son, was given the crucifix...after that I put it up on my wall as a remembrance for my father...I don't pray to it or anything, it's just one of those things you can't get rid of without feeling awkward...do you think this contradicts my beliefs as an atheist???
