My Mirena came out, had a weird membrane on it?

My Mirena came out, and was covered in a weird, slightly bloody, mostly clear membrane. I know I'm not pregnant, because I haven't had sex recently. I just want to know if I should consult a doctor or if it's normal to look that way after it comes out or is removed?
